Valencia was for centuries the center of silk in the Mediterranean and for centuries it has produced the finest materials that have decorated the most luxurious and important places like Versailles and the Vatican. In the last century the town has heavily lost the international market. The College Art Major's Silk is an institution that has more than 5 centuries and continues to live. This institution is hosted in a Palace of the end of 1400, which is falling into ruins and search subsidies. The factory that produces the most important silk is also the oldest Spanish company (from 250 years ago) that is continuing to produce today as it did centuries ago.
